Report To Vault Security is the main prequel quest on the Path of the Warrior in Fallout: New California.

Detailed walkthrough[]
After speaking to Coach Bragg, you will receive a map marker that leads to the Vault 18 head of security Chevy Bragg. Once there, speak to Aaron Ginn if he does not automatically initiate dialogue. It is a good idea to hard save at this point. He will take you into her office, and Chevy will initiate dialogue with you.
If you have the Born Soldier trait, along with 8 Charisma, you can talk you way into Vault Security. You can do perception checks up to Perception 10 for an amusing end. Some checks piss her off, so listen/read the dialogue. To go through smoothly, choose "Star, ma'am" and "Um... you know, I think I’ve made a mistake. I’m going to go work for maintenance.", or "Star, ma'am" and the Born Soldier/Charisma 8 route.
After that you need to ask Chevy about becoming a wasteland scout in order to gain the objective, the quest will not finish if you don't compete this objective. After that, return to Coach Bragg and tell him you are in vault security. If you have the Born Soldier II trait, he will offer you a key to a locker in security.
Follow your marker to Dr. Rossman and ask about becoming a scout, after that the quest will finish. You also have an option of asking Dr. Rossman about the player that you tackled in the beginning and activate the quest No Hard Feelings, if you haven't spoken to Johnny Matheson already.
